Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using Pact's website and services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our services.

About Pact

Pact is a commitment tracking application designed to help people follow through on their commitments to friends, family, roommates, and partners. We are currently in pre-launch development phase.

Acceptable Use

You agree to use Pact only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to:

  • Use the service for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
  • Harass, abuse, or harm other users
  • Share false, misleading, or deceptive information
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
  • Use the service to spam or send unsolicited communications
  • Violate any applicable laws or regulations

Waitlist and Early Access

By joining our waitlist, you understand that:

  • Pact is currently in development and not yet available
  • We will notify you when the service becomes available
  • Early access is subject to availability and our discretion
  • Features and pricing may change before official launch
  • We may discontinue development at any time

Privacy and Data

Your privacy is important to us. Our collection and use of your information is governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

Intellectual Property

The Pact service, including its design, code, content, and trademarks, is owned by Pact LLC and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without our written permission.

Service Availability

We strive to maintain service availability but cannot guarantee uninterrupted access. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time without notice.

Disclaimers

Pact is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including but not limited to:

  • Warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose
  • Warranties regarding service availability or reliability
  • Warranties that the service will meet your requirements
  • Warranties regarding the accuracy of information

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Pact LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or use, arising from your use of the service.

Indemnification

Termination

Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of Pact will be resolved through binding arbitration, except for claims that may be brought in small claims court.

We may update these Terms from time to time. We'll notify you of significant changes by email or through our website. Your continued use of Pact after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
